Micro Pile Threaded Rebar

Micropiles are small diameter foundation elements up to 300 mm in diameter that transmit tension, compression and alternating loads into the soil through skin friction. They are generally not tensioned and act as passive base systems. Micro piles comply with EN 14199 and FHWA-NHI-05-039.
Micropiles offer specific advantages over conventional systems. Typical applications are lift control, foundations, underpinning, installation in confined spaces and near existing structures, restricted access areas, remote locations, where vibration or noise needs to be minimized, and contaminated soils (less damage due to small diameter).
Micropiles can be broadly classified into temporary (up to 2 years) and permanent (100 years) based on design working life and environmental aggressiveness.
Standard Corrosion Protection (SCP)
Solid rebar (single), hot rolled, continuous thread is used as rebar (rib). SCP micropiles can be used permanently in low corrosive environments for compressive load cases. For tensile load cases in low corrosive environments, it can be used for temporary applications with full load capacity, or for permanent applications with reduced load capacity (due to crack width limitations). Corrosion protection is achieved by grouting cover thickness and crack width limitations.

COMPOSITION:

The PSB555/700 thread bar is made of black steel with a continuous right-handed along the entire length of the bar. The continuous threading allows the cut of the bar with different length according to the design requirements and it also improves the adhesion between the bar and grouting.
