Rebar Coupler

In recent years, the need for more efficient splicing systems has become increasingly apparent due to increased construction complexity and design requirements. The use of rebar connectors simplifies the design and construction of reinforced concrete and reduces the amount of rebar required.

What is Rebar Coupler?

A rebar connector is a component that connects two rebars longitudinally to form a mechanical joint. This is an alternative to lap joints or welded connections.
Mechanical joints are used to avoid protruding rebar in cast joints, reducing congestion in tight spaces and saving rebar length.
Rebar connectors are manufactured and connected to rebar using different techniques and therefore have different properties such as tensile capacity, robustness under actual field conditions, ease of assembly and controls for proper installation. It is important to consider these characteristics in order to make the right choice for your project.
Rebar connectors are used in reinforced concrete structures to replace ordinary rebar lap joints. Couplers are also suitable for reinforced concrete columns and walls. Viewed from the installation direction, each steel bar joint consists of a single steel bar with threads and a joint sleeve on the right end. In construction joints, rebar connectors can be used to replace all rebar going through the formwork.
Rebar connectors are used to connect rebar with full tensile strength. The ends of the steel bars to be connected are provided with threads, and the steel bars are connected by a coupling sleeve, which transmits the force on the steel bars through the connection.
